I hold an MA in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver and am licensed to practice in Colorado as a professional counselor. Additionally, I have completed a two-year postgraduate training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis, and I am currently a candidate at the Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California (PINC), meaning I am training to become a certified psychoanalyst. I opened my private practice in 2018; my experience prior to this includes treating students and community members in an outpatient college counseling center, and working for several years with adults struggling with eating disorders, developmental trauma, relational difficulties, and mood disorders in an intensive partial hospitalization treatment program.
Before my training in psychotherapy I studied secondary education with emphases in literature, theatre, and rhetoric. In addition to my training and my personal experiences, I bring to my work as a therapist this background in learning, language, expression, and nuanced exploration of human experience.
